for a RHINOPLASTY
- Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages for the first month after your surgery.
- Stop smoking 1 month before your surgery and preferably never smoke again.
- Use sunscreen (reapply every 4 hours) and a hat or cap when you go outside.
- Don't exercise for the first month. After that, return gradually. If you lift weights, wait two months.
- Do not wear lenses for 2 months.
- It's important to use a nasal bandage, which your doctor will teach you how to apply. Make sure the tape is marked 3M.
- Perform nasal rinses regularly, as these will be your best friends for breathing well.
- If you had open rhinoplasty or visible cuts on your nose, remember to apply solid petroleum jelly to the stitches starting on the first day of your surgery to help with healing.
- AHelp yourself with arnica tablets and tea to improve post-surgery inflammation.
